Information for A.O.S. Graduations
Graduation ceremonies are held every three weeks. Most graduations take place on a Friday; however, occasionally the day of the week may change. Please check with your student for his/her anticipated graduation date.
Please note that more specific and detailed information is distributed to students directly and information is posted for upcoming graduation dates on the Student Web Portal. If you have your student's access information for the Student Web Portal, you can also obtain this information.
Dress attire for guests attending the graduation ceremony and luncheon is business.
A.O.S. Graduation Ceremony (held in Farquharson Hall which is located in Roth Hall)
8:15 AM – Students arrive for Check-In
8:30 AM – Doors to Farquharson Hall open*
8:45 AM – Graduates Line-up
9:00 AM – Ceremony Begins
*Graduation "passes" are issued depending on the size of the class. When the class is under 72 in number, seating is on a first come, first serve basis. If passes are necessary, each graduate would receive, at no charge, the same amount of passes – five (5) seating and one (1) standing. Guests with passes would be admitted first. If space remains, guests without passes would be allowed in. Once the room is filled to capacity, guests would be directed a few doors down where the ceremony will broadcast on a large screen.
A.O.S. Graduation Luncheon (held at the Student Recreation Center)
10:15 AM – Reception
11:00 AM – Luncheon – Meal Tickets Needed**
**Each student starts out with four (4) meal tickets; one (1) for the student and three (3) for guests. The cost of these meal tickets is included in the general fee. In addition to these four (4) meal tickets, each student will be guaranteed to purchase one (1) or two (2) extra meal tickets, depending on the size of the graduating class. If space permits, students will be able to purchase additional tickets. Students can also sell their meal tickets back to the college. Approximately three (3) weeks prior to each graduation, meal tickets go on sale for a one-week period at the Bursar's Office. Extra meal tickets purchased are $35.00 each. All meal ticket transactions must be completed at the Bursar's Office.
