Along with meals covered by the board fee, the college offers students the option of purchasing Culinary Cash. A minimum cash deposit in the amount of $25.00 is all that is needed to get started on the Culinary Cash program. Culinary Cash is mandatory for all students who wish to print any material from the student computer labs. The Culinary Cash program gives students the convenience, flexibility, and security of cash-free transactions by enabling them to use their CIA Student ID like a debit card at selected sites on campus. Participating locations include the Apple Pie Bakery Café, Courtside Café, American Bounty Restaurant, Escoffier Restaurant, Ristorante Caterina de' Medici, St. Andrew's Café and the Conrad Hilton Library. Culinary Cash can also be used to buy tickets from the Student Activities Office. After each transaction made the remaining dollar amount appears on each receipt making it very easy to monitor the balance. Additional deposits can be made through the Bursar's office at any time during regular business hours. Upon graduation or withdrawal from the school any remaining funds are credited to the students account.
