Career Opportunties

Every parent wants their son or daughter to gain the knowledge, confidence, and connections necessary to move successfully into the career that's absolutely right for him or her. The CIA can make it happen.

The 300-plus companies that recruit on campus each year, the industry giants who support our academic programs and building, the CIA alumni who hire their follow graduates—they all recognize that Culinary Institute students have what it takes to help their organizations succeed. That's why the average CIA student already has two to three job offers by the time he or she graduates.

And there's more good news—the industry they are entering offers ample opportunities for rapid advancement. Executive chefs with six to eight years' experience average $69,000 a year and can make up to $90,000 a year. And The CIA produces a great many executive chefs. The college's graduate surveys show that CIA alumni have strong career and salary growth, with median salaries significantly higher than the industry norm.

"I come to the CIA to recruit because of the level of professionalism and skill of the students. Being a graduate myself, I know what they've been taught, and it's a great foundation we can build on."
