A variety of living choices await you at your new home away from home. On-campus housing is guaranteed for all new, first-time CIA students. More than 1,700 students reside on campus. Incoming freshmen are housed in four coed residence halls situated on the banks of the Hudson River. Our lodges, featuring four-person suites, are available to upperclassmen.
Rooms are furnished with a desk, chair, dresser, closet or wardrobe, and bed for each student. All rooms are air-conditioned and wired for cable television. In addition, a wireless network is installed in all residence halls. From your room, you can access campus resources such as the digital video library, library databases, student services information, and the Internet, all over a high-speed, wireless connection.

Four Residence Halls
Angell, Pick-Herndon, and Rosenthal Halls were built in the early 1970s and house approximately 280 to 340 students per building in double occupancy rooms with private baths. Hudson Hall opened its doors in 1986 and houses 399 students in single, double, and quadruple person occupancy rooms. This building is equipped with community bathrooms on each floor. Each building has free laundry facilities, a computer lab, and a working kitchen.
Six Lodges
Cayenne, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Juniper, Clove, and Ginger are located on the north end of the campus. These three-story buildings accommodate 424 CIA upper-term Bachelor's students in four-person suites with private baths. The shared main-floor living space includes a kitchen and a great room. The lodges are grouped in a village-style arrangement, providing a feeling of community with inviting places to socialize and study.
