Orientation Activities Schedule
Move-In Day for Residential Students
Dress Code: Casual Dress
- 1–5 p.m.
Move into residence hall room
- 5–6:30 p.m.
Tour with student tour guides – leaving from your Residence Hall Lounge
- 6:30–7:30 p.m.
Individual Residence Hall Meetings – Hudson, Angell, Pick-Herndon, Rosenthal Halls
Day 1
Dress Code: Business Casual (at 2:45 p.m. you will change into casual attire & orientation t-shirt)
- 6:30–7:30 a.m.
Breakfast (optional) – Farquharson Hall
- 7:45 a.m.
Registration – Lobby of Admissions Building
- 8:10 a.m.
Meeting for commuter students
- 10:00 a.m.
Math & Writing Challenge Exams
Prior approval is required to take these exams.

Return to residence halls to change into casual clothes. Commuters change in the Recreation Center locker room. Wear orientation T-shirt, sneakers, and casual pants/jeans/shorts.

Dinner
Days 3 and 4 vary depending on your major and, for culinary arts students, whether you're assigned to an AM or PM class schedule. Topics covered include First Year Expectations, Uniform Protocols, Introduction to Course Material, Classroom/Kitchen/Bakeshop Orientation, Tour of the Storeroom, Review of Equipment & Saftey, and other topics.
