So you want to get a world-class culinary education and have the fun experience of being a student on a true college campus? Then you've come to the right place! The CIA's New York campus has everything—sports, clubs, and plenty of fun things to do on and off campus.
Activities & Trips
Choose from on-campus movies, parties, casino nights, live music, dances, stand-up comedy, and more. Or take Student Activities sponsored trips to various events and destinations like New York City, ski-resorts, white water rafting adventures, kayaking, rock climbing, or New York professional sporting and theatre events. Clubs
Want to get involved in planning student events? Join one of many student groups that focus on specific interests, like singing, community service, religion, or specific types of cuisine. Check out some examples.
Fitness Programs
Be sure to visit our Student Rec Center, including weight room, indoor track, six-lane swimming pool, gymnasium, and more. While you're there, join one of our many fitness classes or intramural programs.
Student Government Association
All CIA students in good standing are members of the Student Government Association. The Association is governed by an Executive Board elected by the student body with meetings being held every other Wednesday at 9:15 p.m. in the Student Rec Center.
SPICE (Student Programming Igniting Campus Entertainment)
CIA students have the ability to work with the Student Activities Office to select, plan, and stage many activities and programs through SPICE. This group has brought comedians, hypnotists, magicians, and musical acts to campus. Members are empowered to be creative and think outside the box in selecting acts and programs that their fellow students will enjoy and will enhance the student community at the CIA. SPICE meets every Thursday at 9:15 p.m. in the Student Rec Center.
