Dear Students,
Welcome to The Culinary Institute of America, the world's premier culinary college. We are fortunate to have students from around the globe attending the college. Currently, the CIA is represented by more than 30 countries. On any given day, you can hear Korean, Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, assorted languages from India...and yes, even English!
As a student from a country other than the United States, you bring with you a wealth of information and vast array of personal experiences that we embrace here at The Culinary Institute of America. Not only are our students diversified, but our faculty is, as well. Countries that are represented by our faculty include France, the United Kingdom, China, India, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Canada, and the United States.
Our International Student Club is one of the more active clubs here on campus. It is a great way to meet fellow students from your own country, but also a great way to meet new friends. While many of us come here with English as a second language, we have a unique opportunity to come together and share a common bond that helps to unite us.
I look forward to meeting you on campus.
Warm Regards,
Chef Alain Dubernard
Lecturing Instructor
International Student Club Moderator
