Bachelor of Professional Studies (B.P.S.) Degree in Baking & Pastry Arts Management—38 months

If you’re coming directly out of high school or have had some experience working in baking and pastry before college, going for the power of the bachelor’s degree makes a lot of sense for you.

• Extensive hands-on classes in baking and pastry
• Broad range of liberal arts and management courses
• Curricula that gives you the skills to analyze and understand the complex food world
• Preparation for leaderships positions such as executive pastry chef, bakery café owner, or chocolatier

Associate in Occupational Studies (A.O.S.) in Baking & Pastry Arts—21 months

If you already have a bachelor’s degree or you’re changing careers, the college’s proven associate degree program may be the best complement to your current skills.

• Curricula that focuses on baking and pastry fundamentals
• The opportunity to start your baking and pastry career in less than two years

Hone Your Skills in the Apple Pie Bakery Café

In either baking & pastry degree program, two of your courses—Café Operations and Beverages & Customer Service—give you invaluable real-world experience in The Culinary Institute of America’s own Apple Pie Bakery Café.You’ll learn firsthand the secrets of running a successful bakery café operation from the front and the back of the house.
